MAHA PRAJNA PARAMITA
HEART SUTRA

Kanzeon Bosa, gone deep in prajna paramita,
clear, saw the five groups void,
free of all pain, grief.
Sharisson, form's naught but void, void naught but form;
form's the real void, void the real form
--and sense, thought, urge, known are the same.
Sharisson, all things are void views,
unborn, ungone, unsoiled, unwashed, nor wax or wane.
So in void there's no form, no sense, thought, urge, known;
no eye, ear, nose tongue, bod, mind;
no form, sound, smell, taste, touch, thought;
no eye world--on to no mind-thought world;
no stupor and no stupor's end
--on to no age-death and no age-death end;
no pain, cause, end, way; no wisdom, no gain.
So with naught to gain,
Bodhisattvas trust prajna paramita;
thus mind's unblocked. No blockage, so have no fear;
far past all upside-down vain hopes, nirvana after all.
Always Buddhas trust prajna paramita, thus gain anuttara samyaksambodhi.
So know prajna paramita, the great precious lucid mantra,
the supreme incomp'rable mantra, can clear ev'ry pain.
It's true, no lie.
So chant the prajna paramita,
chant just this line:
Gate, gate, paragate, parasangate, bodhi svaha!
